Fantastic opportunity for a Design Engineer to join a world renowned manufacturing company based in Gloucester, GL2. Salary circa £38,000 plus benefits. Our client is looking for two candidates so will consider one with less experience which will be reflected in the salary.

Our client is a market leader within their field supplying to the Aerospace, Automotive and Engineering Industries - due to an increase in their order book they are looking to recruit 2 additional Design Engineers to join their team.

The role of the Design Engineer will involve:

- Providing manufacturing and design drawings for existing products, as well as bespoke projects

- Preparing drawings and designs to support the sales and manufacturing process

- Providing material lists

- Managing projects and designs from concept stage through to production

- Liaising with customers and Suppliers both within the UK and overseas

Skills and Experience:

- Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering (or equivalent) would be useful but will also consider a strong working background within a design role

- Competent in using AutoCAD and a working knowledge of Solid Edge would be an advantage.

In addition the successful Design Engineer will have experience of the design / drawing process and will have a high attention to detail. You will also have an knowledge of working to quality standards and have an understanding of the manufacturing process.
