Job Title: Senior Acoustic Consultant Location: Bristol Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits
A well-established consultancy with a strong reputation in acoustic design and sustainable engineering is looking to add a Senior Acoustic Consultant to its Bristol office. This is a chance to join a progressive, supportive team involved in a wide variety of projects, consistently delivering high-quality acoustic solutions.

Key Responsibilities- Lead acoustic design work across sectors such as education, healthcare, residential, commercial and performance venues.
- Provide expert technical guidance and ensure all designs comply with current standards and best practice.
- Communicate complex acoustic concepts clearly to clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct site visits, assessments and sound insulation testing.
- Work with modelling tools including CATT, Odeon, INSUL, Cadna/A and Revit.
- Support the development of new methods, tools and workflows to improve delivery.
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
- Strong knowledge of building acoustics and relevant regulations.
- A background in managing projects across a range of sectors.
- Confident communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
- Practical experience in site-based work and sound insulation testing.
- Understanding of - or interest in - acoustic and environmental modelling software.
- A collaborative attitude and enthusiasm for sustainable, well-considered design.
- Partnering with architects, engineers and clients to develop effective acoustic strategies.
- Visiting sites to carry out assessments and performance checks.
- Running simulations and preparing acoustic models.
- Producing technical reports and supporting design documentation.
- Sharing ideas, supporting junior colleagues and encouraging innovation.
- Maintaining strong, ongoing client relationships.
