Job Title: Senior Acoustic Consultant Location: Bristol Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

A well-established consultancy with a strong reputation in acoustic design and sustainable engineering is looking to add a Senior Acoustic Consultant to its Bristol office. This is a chance to join a progressive, supportive team involved in a wide variety of projects, consistently delivering high-quality acoustic solutions.

• Lead acoustic design work across sectors such as education, healthcare, residential, commercial and performance venues.
• Provide expert technical guidance and ensure all designs comply with current standards and best practice.
• Communicate complex acoustic concepts clearly to clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct site visits, assessments and sound insulation testing.
• Work with modelling tools including CATT, Odeon, INSUL, Cadna/A and Revit.
• Support the development of new methods, tools and workflows to improve delivery.
• Mentor and guide junior team members.

• Strong knowledge of building acoustics and relevant regulations.
• A background in managing projects across a range of sectors.
• Confident communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
• Practical experience in site-based work and sound insulation testing.
• Understanding of - or interest in - acoustic and environmental modelling software.
• A collaborative attitude and enthusiasm for sustainable, well-considered design.

• Partnering with architects, engineers and clients to develop effective acoustic strategies.
• Visiting sites to carry out assessments and performance checks.
• Running simulations and preparing acoustic models.
• Producing technical reports and supporting design documentation.
• Sharing ideas, supporting junior colleagues and encouraging innovation.
• Maintaining strong, ongoing client relationships.
