Job Description

Our client, operating in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Configuration Manager on a contractual basis. This role involves playing a critical part in the final phase of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) certification for a first‑of‑type civil aircraft radio communication system. We are looking for an experienced and agile Configuration Manager to help close configuration data gaps and ensure readiness for upcoming audits and FCA/PCA with the customer.

• Review and assess existing configuration management data and records
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or non‑compliances in configuration data
• Update, correct, and complete configuration records to support certification and audit readiness
• Ensure configuration data aligns with CAA requirements and internal processes
• Support preparation for external audits, FCA/PCA, and customer reviews
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and programme teams to gather and validate configuration information
• Provide clear status updates and highlight risks to schedule or compliance

• Proven experience in Configuration Management, ideally within aerospace or regulated engineering environments
