Role - Senior Engineer - Infrastructure Location - Cheltenham (M5 J10) Purpose of the roleGalliford Try have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer to support the team on our new £250m M5 J10 Improvements Scheme in Cheltenham
. You will take full responsibility for setting out, engineering control and quality in addition to coordinating and mentoring the site engineering team.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and assist in project planning and resource coordination.
- Manage subcontractor performance to ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Write, review, and implement Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Supervise site engineering team, delegate tasks, and mentor junior engineers.
- Control project schedules, attend coordination meetings, and update progress as required.
- Ensure work complies with project specifications, raise design-related RFIs and TQs, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Communicate with the commercial team for accurate financial reporting, manage snagging systems, and minimize site waste.
- Work safely and proficiently interpret data and drawings.
- Advanced setting out skills, including Level, EDM, and GPS knowledge.
- Relevant civil engineering experience (Highways, Rail, Water, Aviation).
- Strong leadership, delegation, and problem-solving abilities.
- NVQ Level 3 or higher, SMSTS, CSCS card, and expertise in Office 365/CAD
