1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant (No Experience Required)

Location:

Gloucestershire (GL14)

Contract:

Full-time, term time only
Pay: £89-£100 per day

Are you looking for a role where your presence truly makes a difference? Teaching Personnel is recruiting compassionate and dependable individuals to provide one-to-one support for pupils with special educational needs.

This rewarding opportunity involves supporting children and young people aged 5-16, helping them feel understood, encouraged, and confident in their learning environment.

You may work with pupils who experience:

  • Mental health challenges
  • Physical disabilities
  • Communication difficulties
  • Behavioural needs

No formal qualifications are required - your empathy, patience, and willingness to learn are what matter most

Start Date: ASAP (continuing throughout the academic year)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, term time only
Hours: Typically 8:30am-3:30pm (hours may vary by school)
Progression: Opportunity for a permanent contract

Responsibilities
  • Deliver dedicated 1:1 support to enable pupils to access learning
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to tailor activities to individual needs
  • Support pupils in line with their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Build a consistent, trusting relationship that fosters safety and motivation
  • Assist with classwork, daily routines, and emotional regulation
Qualifications
  • Passionate about supporting children and young people
  • Calm, patient, and adaptable in your approach
  • Strong communicator
  • Experience with children is beneficial but not essential - full training and ongoing support provided
