Academics is currently recruiting for a Secondary Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Gloucester. This rewarding role involves working closely with students across KS3 and KS4, providing tailored support to ensure they can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

The Role – Secondary Learning Support Assistant- Provide targeted classroom support to students requiring additional help
- Work 1:1 with students or support small intervention groups
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across subjects
- Support students with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement within lessons
- Help promote independence, confidence, and academic progress
- A calm, resilient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Interest in secondary education and adolescent development
- Psychology, education, or related background desirable
- Previous experience working with young people beneficial but not essential
