Academics is currently recruiting for a Primary Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Gloucester. This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils across KS1 or KS2, providing tailored support to ensure every child can access learning and reach their full potential.

This opportunity is ideal for graduates or individuals considering future careers in primary teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or child development.

• Provide targeted support to pupils who require additional help with learning
• Work 1:1 with children or support small intervention groups
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom
• Help create a nurturing and structured learning environment

• A caring, patient, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• Interest in primary education and child development
• Psychology, education, or related background desirable
• Previous experience working with children beneficial but not essential
