We're working with a well established and growing groundworks contractor based in Gloucester, delivering major residential and infrastructure schemes across the South West and into South Wales.
With their current Head of Health & Safety due to retire in just under a year, they are now looking to bring in a strong H&S professional to work alongside them and step into the Head of role following a planned handover. The progression route is clear from day one.
What you'll be doing day to day:- Overseeing health & safety across multiple live groundworks sites
- Carrying out site audits, inspections and incident investigations
- Developing and reviewing RAMS and ensuring full CDM compliance
- Working closely with operational teams and main contractors to drive a positive safety culture
- Proven Health & Safety experience within groundworks or civils (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations and HSE legislation
- NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)
- Confident communicator who can influence site teams and senior stakeholders
