Role Overview

This role is offered as a part‑time fixed‑term contract for 12 months, with an annual schedule of 15 hours per week.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated QI Manager to support the development of the options appraisal and full business case for the design and testing of a future Tier 4 model for specialised CAMHS and eating disorder provision in Gloucestershire, working in partnership with the Thames Valley Provider Collaborative.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a high‑impact service model for children and young people with complex needs, collaborating across organisational boundaries with clinical teams, commissioners, voluntary sector partners and experts by experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co‑lead the development, testing and evaluation of a new Tier 4 service model, contributing to an options appraisal and full business case.
  • Lead and support quality improvement and service redesign activity across the Trust and Integrated Care System, using coaching‑based QI methodology.
  • Build QI capability through delivery and coordination of the Trust’s Bronze, Silver and Gold improvement programmes.
  • Work collaboratively with clinicians, managers, commissioners, voluntary sector partners and experts by experience.
  • Support priority improvement work identified through Trust governance and performance forums.
  • Provide expert advice and facilitation on improvement methodology to enable sustainable change.
  • Collect, analyse and report learning, outcomes and impact to inform decision‑making and governance.
  • Contribute flexibly to wider transformation and system improvement projects across partner organisations.
  • Compile and communicate progress, learning and evaluation of the Tier 4 model with a wide range of key stakeholders and groups to feed into a business case.
Coaching Approach

Support the Tier 4 team in coaching and advising them to work effectively across the three core elements of our Coaching For System Improvement approach:

  • Strategic system thinking
  • Technical application of improvement methodology
  • Relational approach – required for distributed leadership in action

The qualification, training and experience requirements for the role are underlined in the attached JD.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship as per the Government’s UK visa and immigration rules and regulations. For more information please visit
