We are currently seeking a Clerical Officer to join our Cardiology & Respiratory teams.
Hours:
37.5 hours per week.
We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic and hardworking individual to join our very busy teams.
We require hard working individuals to join our team, delivering a smooth and efficient administration service to support Cardiology and Respiratory departments for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful post holder will be working within a demanding but rewarding environment, as you will be contributing to the patients receiving their care.
Main duties of the job- Providing a comprehensive administrative service to medical staff and their supporting team.
- Managing the incoming mail for the unit, i.e. receipting, scanning, distributing to secretarial team.
- Clerical tasks as required i.e. photocopying, answering the telephone etc, to support team members.
- Providing cover for colleagues in their absence to maintain service levels.
Our friendly and hardworking administration team supports the Cardiology and Respiratory departments for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The Cardiology & Respiratory Department admin teams are made up of Clerical Officer/Receptionists, Clerical Officers, Medical Secretaries, Booking Services who work as a team to support a large and busy cohort of clinical staff.
You will be an integral part of this hardworking team.

Person Specification Qualifications- Educated to GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy
- NVQ Lvl 3 in administration or equivalent experience, or appropriate experience in a hospital/office environment
- Experience of working as a clerical officer
- Appropriate experience in a hospital or office environment
- IT experience of Microsoft Office packages
- General knowledge of office duties
- Good command and understanding of English, punctuation, and grammar
- Proven organisational skills
- Personally resilient and able to manage complexity and work in an ambiguous or changing environment
- Excellent presentational, communication, and interpersonal skills
