As an on-site Maintenance Technician (Carpentry-Focused) with People Ready Skilled Trades, you'll support a multi-family property and perform carpentry-focused repair and maintenance work on site in Gloucester, MA at an apartment complex. The hourly rate for this position is $30 - $30 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. ** Responsibilities:*
* + Perform finish carpentry

+ Patch and repair drywall

+ Trim repairs (baseboards, casings, molding)

+ Door, frame, and hardware installation/repair

+ Cabinet repairs and minor rebuilds

+ Window and framing repairs on units and common areas

+ Complete woodwork maintenance and light fabrication as needed

+ Replace or repair building fixtures and components with emphasis on carpentry skill

+ Replace faucets, fill valves, lights, garbage disposals, hood vents, and similar components

+ Service stoves, dishwashers, and basic appliances

+ Perform light, low-voltage electrical tasks

+ Prep and paint unit interiors as needed

+ Change locks and maintain key systems

+ Prepare units for turnover

+ Maintain clean, safe common areas

+ Clean vacant units as needed

+ Landscaping and general exterior upkeep

+ Snow removal during winter months

* Qualifications:

* + 21+ years of age

+ Strong carpentry background (residential or commercial)

+ Prior experience in the commercial field required

+ Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently

+ Strong communication and customer-service skills

+ Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs with or without accommodation

+ Valid Massachusetts Driver's License

+ Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation as needed
