Lead Sales / Director of Sales

Philadelphia Table Company is a boutique custom furniture studio specializing in high-end solid wood furniture for residential, commercial, and hospitality clients. Every piece is built one at a time by a single maker, with a deep focus on craftsmanship, communication, and long-term value.

We’re looking for a relationship-driven sales professional to work directly alongside the owner and grow into the primary sales leader for the company.

This role is measured by clarity, trust, and profitability — not pressure or volume
. You’ll manage incoming leads, close projects, generate new relationships, and ensure what’s sold aligns with design intent and manufacturing realities.

What you’ll do
  • Manage and close inbound leads (email, text, phone)
  • Meet clients at our showroom and in markets like NYC
  • Quote and close custom furniture projects
  • Generate some of your own leads through designer, architect, and hospitality relationships
  • Serve as the primary client contact through sale and handoff to design and operations
  • Collaborate closely with ownership, design, and production teams
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in relationship-based sales (custom furniture, interior design, millwork, construction, or hospitality preferred)
  • Strong communication and organization
  • Comfort selling high-end custom work without aggressive tactics
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with a small team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed
Compensation & growth
  • Base salary + commission (gross revenue)
  • Higher commissions for commercial and hospitality projects
  • Performance bonuses at revenue milestones
  • Travel expenses covered
  • Long-term opportunity to grow into a Lead Sales / Director of Sales role
