HGV Mechanic

Overview

Driver Hire Stockport are recruiting for x2 HGV Mechanics to work for our client based in Glossop. The successful candidate must be an experienced and fully qualified Mechanic. You will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment and have experience in Vehicle Inspection and MOT preparation of vehicles/ trailers, Fault electrician diagnosis, routine servicing and maintenance, and major component repair and replacement.

• Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on all vehicles, trailers
• Diagnosing and rectifying all types of HGV faults.
• Ensuring health & safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
• Repairing defects as reported by the Transport team

• Technical qualification or proven experience repairing & maintaining HGV's.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to actively seek solutions to problems.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks.
• Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Must have access to their own tools and a boiler suite to take on site.

Please note that this is a temp to perm tole.

You will recieve a salary of £48,456.20 per annum.
