Join a dedicated team that prioritizes safety, quality workmanship, and effective communication. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in loading, hauling, and dumping materials efficiently while optimizing operational cycles. Work collaboratively with different team members but also excel in performing independently with minimal oversight. Previous experience with dozers, excavators, graders, and haul/water trucks is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a variety of heavy machinery effectively to meet project goals for loading, hauling, and dumping.
- Construct reliable roads in unmodified terrain while emphasizing safety.
- Load trucks in a safe and efficient manner; prepare dumps for maximum efficiency, and manage material organization for loading units.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and perform daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all tasks.
- Keep equipment in top-notch condition, promptly reporting and logging any maintenance requirements.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members across various functions.
- Experience in operating multiple types of heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, graders, and haul/water trucks within a general construction, heavy civil, or mining environment is advantageous.
- Capability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing is required.
- A valid MSHA P. 48 certification with surface, metal, and non‑metal is necessary.
- This is a project‑based role with varied rotations on days, requiring 12‑hour workdays.
- Overtime compensation is available after 40 hours per week at time and a half.
- A living out allowance will be offered for eligible candidates.

- Work will primarily be conducted outdoors in a range of weather conditions.
