At Target, Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations through guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. This role supports both in-store and digital services, driving adoption and guest loyalty while making shopping quick and easy at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up.

Typical responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming guest experience.
- Greet guests, engage to solve their needs, and communicate current promos, store activities, and events.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience, including Target Loyalty programs and applications when needed.
- Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, complying with safety standards and standards of practice.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
- Assist guests with Target App features, Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; help guests enroll or activate these features.
- Handle returns, follow register prompts, and collaborate with leaders to solve guest needs per Target policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area; stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests.
- Uphold ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up, and related activities while complying with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws where required).
- Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

- Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 44 lbs occasionally with assistance.
- Flexible schedule availability (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required.
- Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift.
- Capable of working in varying temperatures and conditions (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
