Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. You may also have the opportunity to work with other products from different companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting pay will be $16.00 to $18.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 6–10 hours.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The position consists of three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. You will communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete merchandising surveys.
- Holiday support: Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be expected to work additional days and extended hours, including holidays themselves.
- Department resets: You may be part of a team responsible for installing fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting sections. Advance notice of up to two weeks is typically provided; assignments may include evenings or weekends.
- Team collaboration: You will support other merchandisers in the network as needed.
This is a physically demanding job requiring consistent push, pull, lift, and carry of cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds daily and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- Minimum age 18 years.
- Proficient reading, writing, and understanding of English.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Capable of operating a digital handheld device for reading documents and interpreting information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
