Overview
Step into a pivotal PACU nursing role as a Registered Nurse in our dynamic travel healthcare program, with an exciting opportunity in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. In this specialized PACU position, you’ll be the bridge between the operating room and recovery, guiding patients through the critical post-anesthesia phase with precision, compassion, and clinical excellence. Your impact will be felt every shift—from timely patient assessments and vigilant monitoring to seamless collaboration with anesthesia and surgical teams.
If you’re driven by delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment, this is your chance to shape patient outcomes while expanding your professional horizon. Beyond the work, Colorado beckons with a landscape that invites exploration: thermal springs, the Rocky Mountains, scenic byways, and a vibrant cultural scene that makes work-life as rewarding outside the hospital as it is inside it.

You’ll experience a town famous for its natural hot springs, canyons, and year-round recreational opportunities—from hiking and mountain biking to winter sports. For clinicians who crave variety, our program also offers the chance to work in multiple locations across the U.S. throughout your assignment, expanding your clinical exposure and building a diverse professional portfolio, all while enjoying the stability of guaranteed hours and a comprehensive benefits package.
As a PACU RN, your responsibilities will center on comprehensive post-anesthesia care, including continuous patient monitoring, hemodynamic assessment, airway management, pain and nausea control, and rapid problem-solving to prevent complications. You’ll perform timely recovery room rounds, document clinical findings, communicate changes to the surgical team, and collaborate with case management to plan safe discharges and transitions. You’ll be empowered to advocate for patient safety and comfort, applying evidence-based protocols for size-appropriate recovery, airway clearance, and multimodal analgesia.
The role also offers robust professional growth within perioperative nursing—opportunities to refine your PACU skill set, advance your certification pursuits, participate in sterile processing and perioperative teams, and gain exposure to a wide range of surgical specialties. The position comes with competitive benefits, including a sign-on or completion bonus, housing assistance to ease relocation, and options for contract extensions that help you plan your career trajectory.
