Valley View is seeking a HIM Specialist II with strong attention to detail and customer service skills to assist our Medical Records Department. Medical record experience preferred. This is a full-time position.

THIS IS AN ON-SITE, IN-PERSON POSITION ONLY! WILL WORK ON-SITE AT THE SILT OFFICE BUILDING IN SILT, CO.

Must have a high level of accuracy with attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Must also have the ability to function in high multi-tasking environment. Computer proficiency required with the ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with all staff, co-workers and customers.

Customer Service experience preferred!

• Performs Main Medical Record Activities.
• Performs Departmental receptionist/secretary duties.
• Performs Scanning, QA and Document indexing Activities.
• Performs Periodic Record Review Activities as Directed by HIM Management.
• Performs Routine MPI Management functions.
• Provides Departmental coverage for Birth Certificate Registrations.
• Provides Release of Information Services as needed.

• Medical Secretary Certification or Health Information Management courses preferred
• Consistency and accuracy in routine job functions
• Previous Health Information Experience preferred.

• Starting salary dependent upon education, experience, and skillset
• Position wage range: $20.00 - $28.87/hour
