Overview
Colorado Mountain College is seeking full-time faculty to join our nursing faculty team at the Spring Valley campus. With teaching and learning at the center of what we do, chosen candidates will join a team of 13 full-time faculty and over 15 part-time faculty across three campuses, dedicated to inspiring and educating the next generation of highly skilled, caring, and compassionate nurses.
DescriptionThis full-time faculty position will begin in July 2026 with a 30-credit hour (170 day contract per Board Policy 4.12) teaching load annually. The successful candidate will teach nursing courses which will include but not be limited to: advanced medical surgical nursing theory and clinical, professional nursing practice, nursing evidence-based practice and research. This position may include night, weekend, and teaching at alternate locations, along with possible interactive video teaching and other use of technology in teaching.
Pre-requisites/ Qualifications
- Qualified candidates must be credentialed to teach in this program, or eligible to be credentialed.
- A Master’s degree in Nursing and 2000 verifiable related occupational experience hours within the past 5 years and a minimum of one year demonstrated teaching/training experience (or equivalent in part-time role).
- An active, unencumbered Colorado RN license or the ability to obtain a Colorado Nursing license is required.
- A Doctoral degree or current enrollment in a Doctoral program is preferred.
- Experience with adult medical surgical populations required.

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred.
Salary range: $ - $ annual salary depending upon a combination of education and experience. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Pet insurance, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, annual & sick time, mental health resources, healthy lifestyle benefits, affordable transitional housing may be available to the successful candidate based on eligibility and availability, relocation if applicable. CMC utilizes a wage progression compensation model that accounts for a candidate’s skill and experience.
Although a salary range is listed, salary will be set commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
