Nursing Faculty – Spring Valley Campus
Colorado Mountain College (CMC) is seeking a full‑time Nursing Faculty member to join its nursing faculty team at the Spring Valley campus. The position begins in July 2026 with a 30‑credit‑hour (170‑day) contract per Board Policy 4.12. Faculty work under the supervision of the Dean of Nursing, who is also the Chief Nursing Officer. Major areas of instruction include classroom teaching, simulation lab instruction, and clinical teaching.
Responsibilities- Teach a full course load, including advanced medical‑surgical nursing theory and clinical, professional nursing practice, and nursing evidence‑based practice and research.
- Deliver instruction through classroom, simulation, and clinical settings, including night, weekend, and alternate locations, and use interactive video teaching and technology as needed.
- Assess student learning, evaluate courses and meet established course, program, and student learning outcomes; maintain office hours and advise students.
- Participate in orientation, registration, and student advising activities.
- Engage in scholarly and creative activities that enhance discipline expertise, including research, curriculum development, and instructional technology.
- Serve on campus and college committees, participate in relevant projects, mentor peers, assist with assessment activities, program review, student organization recruitment, and retention.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to support student success.
- Master’s degree in Nursing and at least 2,000 verifiable occupational experience hours within the past 5 years; minimum one year of demonstrated teaching/training experience (or equivalent in part‑time role).
- Active, unencumbered Colorado RN license or the ability to obtain one.
- Doctoral degree or current enrollment in a doctoral program preferred.
- Experience with adult medical‑surgical populations required.
- Commitment to working effectively with students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred.
