OverviewThe Reading Intervention Teacher plays a vital role in supporting struggling readers through targeted, research-based instruction. This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about literacy development and committed to using a systematic and explicit approach to reading instruction. The teacher will deliver small-group instruction using Orton-Gillingham (OG) principles. Candidates who are not already OG certified must be able to complete Orton-Gillingham training prior to the start of the school year.
EssentialDuties And Performance Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Orton‑Gillingham–based reading intervention in a small‑group setting
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other interventionists to support student growth
- Administer DIBELS assessments and conduct ongoing progress monitoring
- Analyze student data to inform instructional decisions and adjust interventions as needed
- Build strong, positive relationships with students and staff to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Use knowledge of student performance, strengths, and learning styles to create engaging and rigorous instruction
- Contribute to a collaborative school culture and actively participate in shaping and strengthening our learning community

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree - License/Certification:
Colorado Teacher License or the ability to obtain - Terms of Employment:
Twelve-month position. Competitive salary ranging from $58,737-$86,753 (this is from the 25-26 salary schedule - new schedule should be approved in the spring) - Evaluation:
Job performance is evaluated annually by the Dean of Instruction - FLSA Status:
Exempt
Work is generally performed in a classroom environment. Travel with students may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or grasp objects; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, balance or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and far vision, depth perception, color, and the ability to adjust focus.
