Job Title: Chemist
Location: Glenview, IL (Hybrid – Onsite Tuesday–Thursday; flexibility with prior approval)
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour - $24.50/hour
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, Flexible 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Assignment Duration: 03/23/2026 – 03/22/2027

Overview

The Chemist supports analytical method development and implementation within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturing environment. This role focuses on improving and troubleshooting analytical testing systems, implementing new QA/QC technologies, and supporting plant operations. The position is hybrid, requiring onsite presence Tuesday through Thursday, and includes limited travel between the U.S. and Canada. There is potential for conversion to full-time employment.

  • Develop, improve, and implement analytical testing methods.
  • Roll out new analytical equipment and technologies within QA/QC labs and plant floor stations.
  • Troubleshoot analytical testing systems and resolve technical issues.
  • Document testing methods, work practices, and Ways of Working.
  • Create and deliver training materials for hourly and salaried team members.
  • Lead project update calls and support project execution.
  • Support measurement and analysis of composition and structure of substances in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Work independently while adhering to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain strong documentation practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Operations and Quality.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft applications.
  • Comfort working in an analytical laboratory environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Result-oriented mindset with focus on practical and efficient solutions.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Fluent in French.
Travel Requirements

Travel 1–2 times per month, typically 2–3 days per trip, primarily between the U.S. and Canada.
