Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position in Illinois, requiring 4-5 years of CVICU-specific experience and the ability to care for both cardiovascular and interventional neurocritical care patients.
Responsibilities- Position is located in a hospital CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU) setting
- Patient population includes both cardiovascular critical care and interventional neurocritical care patients
- Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend is required
- Floating may be required to the MICU if the CVICU is sufficiently staffed, and in some cases to sister hospital locations (Skokie, Evanston, or Highland Park)
- No on-call requirements
- Charting is performed in Epic
- Scrub color required:
Royal Blue - Local candidates are accepted for this position
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
- A complete 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
- All time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- Active Illinois (IL) RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 4–5 years of CVICU-specific experience required
- Experience supporting interventional neurocritical care patients required
