As an intern, you will be working closely with a supervisor who will provide you with real hands-on projects and daily tasks. Interns will be able to apply classroom-based knowledge to projects and gain essential skills needed to be career-ready. CHEST interns will have the opportunity to CRUSH LUNG DISEASE by working alongside experienced, passionate professionals in a flexible, innovative, mission-driven hybrid environment.

Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in product strategy discussions by bringing draft ideas, workshopping concepts, and iterating quickly based on user insights and team feedback.
- Conduct discovery interviews with CHEST fellows, faculty, and members to capture workflows, pain points, and unmet needs, and report synthesized findings and recommendations to the Director of Product Management.
- Support the Fellow Advisory Panel by helping plan interactive sessions, supporting facilitation, and synthesizing outputs into product-ready insights and visuals.
- Translate research and market inputs into draft reports and visual presentation materials (user journeys, opportunity solution trees, and roadmaps).
- Support cross-functional collaboration by organizing inputs and translating insights into clear, shareable deliverables for Product Management, Market Analysis, and partner teams.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, with a preferred major in product management, data visualization, human-centered design, information design, health informatics, public health or related fields.
- Interest in product management, innovation, and user-centered thinking.
- Ability to recognize patterns and synthesize information to present insights clearly.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Self-directed, curious, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
The hourly pay for this position is $20 per hour. This position is anticipated to work 30 hours per week, in a hybrid work environment.
