Description & RequirementsThe Sales Specialist is managing complexity, building relationships, and delivering results in a customer‑facing role Sales Specialist plays a critical role in developing innovative merchandising and point‑of‑purchase (POP) display solutions for products in the plumbing and water solutions segment. This position requires a blend of creativity, customer engagement, and project management expertise to design impactful displays that drive brand visibility and sales across retail, pro‑channel, and trade supply environments.
The ideal candidate will listen to customer needs, conceptualize solutions, and effectively communicate display visions to vendors for design and costing. This role also advises on re‑engineering existing displays for improved execution or cost reduction.
- Collaborate with customers to understand marketing objectives and product positioning.
- Conceptualize and propose creative POP and merchandising display ideas tailored for retail, pro‑channel, and plumbing supply environments.
- Advise on re‑engineering existing displays for better execution or cost savings.
- Work closely with designers and structural engineers (as a liaison) to ensure feasibility and quality.
- Translate creative concepts into clear specifications for vendors to develop formal designs and quotations.
- Partner with domestic and overseas display manufacturers to manage design, quotation, and production processes.
- Maintain a strong customer‑centric approach; set clear expectations and keep customers, vendors, and internal teams aligned.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor merchandising strategies to inspire innovation.
- Manage timelines and budgets for display development projects.
- Demonstrate expertise in Strategic Supply Chain Management and educate the customer on Brady
PLUS’s value and service offerings. - Proactively address issues in a timely and professional manner. Solve problems and elevate issues or opportunities when appropriate and/or warranted.
- Manage inventory levels for display components and ensure timely distribution to retail and pro‑channel locations.
- Coordinate logistics for display shipments and installations across multiple channels.
- Collaborate in content development of business reviews, build presentations, and present to key customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Merchandising, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in retail merchandising, POP display design, or creative marketing.
- Experience working with designers and structural engineers preferred.
- Experience with display design and manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Basic understanding of Adobe Suite for simple tasks (preferred, not required).
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Customer‑focused, creative thinker, and highly organized.
Salary range: $60,000‑$80,000 per year. The range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
