Job Title: Scientist – Regulatory Affairs I
Location: Glenview, IL 60025
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $20.59/hr
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour days (Hybrid: onsite Tues–Thurs)
Duration: 6-month contract
This role sits within the Export Regulatory and Quality team and supports Kraft Heinz products globally. The Scientist – Regulatory Affairs I will focus primarily on regulatory compliance activities (approximately 80%) with additional support in Quality-related work (approximately 20%). The position responds to customer requests for technical and regulatory documentation while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with internal policies and global regulations.
This role is well-suited for an entry-level candidate or recent graduate with a life sciences background who can manage complexity, work independently, and meet tight timelines.
Responsibilities- Provide technical and regulatory information to support export compliance of Kraft Heinz products
- Evaluate nutrition, labeling, and regulatory compliance for global markets
- Review label graphics for regulatory compliance and technical accuracy in collaboration with local Regulatory teams and external consultants
- Support risk assessments for existing products entering new markets
- Maintain and manage product specifications (create, update, revise as needed)
- Protect intellectual property related to products and processes
- Investigate customer or consumer complaints using root cause analysis and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with internal teams
- Complete customer compliance documentation accurately and on time
- Support Export Quality-related issues as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Regulatory, R&D, and Quality stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science field (Food Science preferred; Biology, Chemistry, or Microbiology acceptable)
- Minimal prior experience in Regulatory, Nutrition, R&D, or Quality (entry-level candidates considered)
- Experience working with specifications, databases, and technical documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Work Model & Additional Details- Hybrid role – onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Must be local to Glenview, IL
- Work hours may vary between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM due to global partners (typical schedule 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
