Brief Overview

As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting ophthalmologists and other eye care professionals in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various eye conditions. You will work in a state‑of‑the‑art facility and collaborate closely with our eye care team to ensure the best possible patient experience.

What you will do
  • We are seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Technician to join our Ophthalmology team who can perform most clinical skills. FA (Fluorescein Angiography) skills are a plus
  • Performing preliminary eye examinations and assessments, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, pupil reactions, and visual field testing.
  • Obtaining detailed patient medical history, including eye‑related complaints, medications, and relevant health information.
  • Administering specialized ophthalmic tests and procedures such as tonometry, keratometry, optical coherence tomography (OCT), fundus photography, and pachymetry.
  • Assisting ophthalmologists during eye examinations, surgeries, and laser treatments, ensuring patients are comfortable and well‑informed about the procedure.
  • Educating patients on eye care procedures, pre‑operative and post‑operative instructions, and the proper use and care of contact lenses or eyeglasses.
  • Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date patient records, documenting assessments, test results, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Performing routine maintenance on ophthalmic equipment and ensuring they are in proper working order.
  • Assisting in the sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment for eye surgeries.
  • Collaborating effectively with ophthalmologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive eye care services.
