Abt Electronics Inc founded in 1936, is a well-established Electronics & Appliance retailer in Glenview, IL who is seeking a highly motivated and talented Accounts Payable Manager with 7+ years experience in a high-volume, fast paced environment and has successfully led teams while improving controls and operational efficiency. This individual will oversee full-cycle AP operations for our growing organization and must have strong expertise in inventory 3-way match process, hands-on experience with Oracle systems for product purchases, and Net Suite for indirect expense processing.
THIS IS AN PERSON POSITION.
- Lead, mentor, and develop AP staff (8 team members)
- Oversee high volume 3-way match process (Purchase Order-Receiving-Invoice) for Inventory purchases
- Work with AP staff to resolve quantity, price, and receipt discrepancies in coordination with suppliers, Purchasing, and Warehouse departments
- Review vendor account statements, AP Agings, and Match Off Reports (MOR) with AP staff members and manage payment cycles for all payment method types
- Review and resolve invoice errors in EDI Management portals with AP staff
- Drive process improvement initiatives and AP automation efforts
- 7+ years of Accounts Payable Management experience
- Strong experience with 3-way matching in inventory-based retail or distribution
- Strong understanding of general ledger for indirect expenditure coding
- Managed annual AP volume exceeding $100M+
- Hands-on experience with:
- Oracle ERP systems (for Inventory/Purchasing)
- Net Suite systems (for indirect expenditures)
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and accrual processes
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation tools)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Experience with EDI Invoice processing (810/850/856 transaction types)
- Full-time and on-site availability
- Salary Range $80,000 + annually
