If yes, you might be the person we are looking for as our new Visitor Experience Manager at Inch Dairnie Distillery.
About the role:
For the first time ever, Inch Dairnie Distillery is opening its doors to visitors, and you will be the one making it happen.
As Visitor Experience Manager, you will shape, build, and run our entire visitor experience, from the first idea on paper to the moment our guests walk back out the door with a sense of awe. This is a unique opportunity to create something truly exceptional, not inherit an existing setup.
Our goal is to open in Summer 2026, starting with at least four intimate daily tours for 6–8 guests per tour. This role is newly created and will have a significant impact on how Inch Dairnie is seen and experienced by whisky lovers around the world.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs our Visitor Experience Manager, you won’t just design the concept, you will own it. That means:
- Designing and delivering a 5-star visitor experience from end to end
- Full P&L responsibility
- Hosting tours, tastings, and VIP visits with confidence and warmth
- Ensuring consistently high guest satisfaction
- Building operational procedures that are robust, efficient, and scalable
- Overseeing inventory and daily operations
- Collaborating closely across the organization, from production to marketing
- Crafting an experience that showcases the innovation, craft, and ambition at the heart of Inch Dairnie
You are entrepreneurial by nature: ambitious, proactive, and energized by responsibility. You enjoy shaping structures where none exists yet, and you thrive in an environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.
- Proven experience in visitor experiences within whisky, spirits, tourism, or premium hospitality
- A proactive, self-starting approach and the ability to lead by example
- A naturally warm and engaging personality
- Confidence in presenting to groups
- A relentless drive for excellence – “good enough” is not your standard
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
- Experience with P&L management

The role is based at the distillery in Glenrothes, Fife.
Founded in 2011 by the industry veteran, Ian Palmer, Inch Dairnie was built on a clear ambition: to push the boundaries of Scotch whisky while respecting its traditions. Since 2015, we have produced spirit using custom-designed, innovative equipment that allows us to explore flavour in ways few others can.
We aim to create whiskies that are modern, distinct, and uncompromising in quality. Our current releases, Rye Law (2023) and Kin Glassie Single Malt (2025), have already earned multiple prestigious awards and established Inch Dairnie as a name to watch in modern Scotch whisky.
