Job DetailsYou will promote social inclusion and offer opportunities for people within Adult Services (Resources), Complex and Critical Care Services across Fife. You will support people who experience challenges with their health, primarily Adult Mental Health, Schizophrenia, Autism, Physical Health, or Learning Disability, delivering care and support and participating in a range of social and recreational activities.
Responsibilities- Deliver care and support in a person-centred way promoting independence and wellbeing.
- Encourage individuals to make their own decisions, enabling them to live independently as possible.
- Support service users to increase social and independent living skills in their own home.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team and other professionals, building relationships and assisting with various needs.
- Carry out duties including personal care, Moving and Handling, C.A.L.M. training and keyworker support planning, assessment, implementation, monitoring and review.
- Provide care on an as-required basis: days, evenings, weekends, sleep‑ins, wakened nights and public holidays.
- Promote social inclusion and maximise personal independence, health and well‑being, working both as part of a team and lone.
- Social Services and Healthcare SCQF level 6 (equivalent to SVQ3) registration or equivalent.
- Ability to work as part of a team and for lone working.
- Good communication, organisational and IT skills.
- Experience or awareness of National Care Standards and SSSC Codes of Practice.
- Must be physically fit to handle all Moving and Handling and C.A.L.M. tasks.
- Desire to advocate for individuals with mental health conditions and ability to remain calm with challenging behaviour.
- Willingness to obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and ability to undertake mandatory training.
- Auto enrolment onto the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
- 32 annual leave days rising to 37 days after 5 years.
