- Support site compliance for UK legislation and Raytheon standards and procedures.
- A working knowledge of asset protection and legislation to meet safety, insurance and Raytheon expectations.
- Execution of both planed and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Installation, fault finding, repair and maintenance of all site mechanical services, plant and equipment.
- Maintain building services to include HVAC, and BMS systems
- Work as part of the Glenrothes Facilities team, with high collaboration with site EHS and functional teams.
- Ability to respond to day to day activities in support of operational and customer needs.
- Support site and department “On Call” process
- Accountable for the completion of standard or non-standard tasks, within the scope of the function
- Delivers activities to support operational objectives for their role.
- Makes decisions within parameters set by manager, using job/specialist experience.
- Interacts with client or users around specific work efforts and deliverables.
- Supports delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards
The Mechanical skilled technician will assist and support the site Facilities Management team in providing day to day operational management for all services within a portfolio of buildings.
This is an active and visible role requiring excellent customer relationship skills.
Working as part of a team, the Technician will be expected to positively contribute to the performance of the Facilities department and build strong local relationships with the client and internal teams.
The required candidate should have a background in Facilities/Engineering or in a site support maintenance related role. Their skills should cover the following disciplines and be academically qualified and experienced in mechanical engineering and or plumbing engineering/activities.
- Achieved a recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering and or Plumbing activities to City & Guilds or SVQ standards.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of one functional area through job experience & training in engineering/manufacturing industry.
- Have a sound working knowledge of all UK facilities biased statute.
- Knowledge of Mechanical plant and equipment maintenance and minor installation activities.
- Knowledge of asset protection sprinkler systems
- Knowledge of building management systems
- Knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Water hygiene knowledge and experience
- Experience of Microsoft packages.
- Flexible in working time ( occasional weekend or out of hours )
- Fork lift truck trained beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of Liquid nitrogen systems beneficial but not essential
