This role requires candidates who are currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, and C2C arrangements are not accepted. This role is hybrid in Glendora, CA.
We are seeking an Environmental Compliance & Monitoring Specialist to support environmental compliance activities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role focuses heavily on wastewater permit support, environmental inspections, incident investigation, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and perform wastewater sampling, packaging, chain of custody, and shipping
- Review lab/analytical results, prepare reports, and assess permit compliance
- Conduct environmental inspections and support audits and corrective actions
- Document and investigate environmental incidents
- Research environmental regulations and prepare compliance documentation
- Develop checklists, procedures, protocols, and technical manuals
- Support internal review of external documents and compile comments
- Prepare technical reports and assist with presentations as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field + 4 years of relevant experience
- (or Master’s degree + 2 years of relevant experience)
- Knowledge of environmental compliance laws and permitting requirements
- Strong understanding of analytical protocols and lab data interpretation related to water and hazardous materials
- Familiarity with water treatment, distribution processes, and environmental investigations
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize in a high-volume environment
- Proficient with Excel and standard office tools (spreadsheets, databases, presentations)
- Collaborative, professional, adaptable, and comfortable under pressure
