Job Details:

• Work in Med/Surg and Transitional Care areas with acute care responsibilities

• Accept day shift or night shift assignments

• Patient ratio experience of 1:4 typically required

• 1 year of nursing experience required

• Every other weekend requirement

• Float within scope to Transitional Care Unit as needed

• No on-call responsibilities

• Guaranteed hours available:
- 8 and 10 hour shifts: 40 hours guaranteed weekly
- 3, 12-hour shifts: 36 hours guaranteed weekly
- 4, 12-hour shifts: 48 hours guaranteed weekly

• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS; PALS preferred

• 36 hours of orientation provided

• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics

• Daily census of approximately 4 patients

• Cerner charting system experience preferred

• RTO restrictions: 5-7 days maximum with no RTO within first two weeks

• Compact RN license accepted; pending license accepted

• Any color scrubs acceptable

Facility:

This acute care hospital provides 24-hour emergency care, full medical and surgical services, and features an attached 71-bed skilled Extended Care facility. The facility operates as a Level IV trauma center with 25 total staffed beds and maintains 13 rooms on the med/surg floor. The hospital admits pediatrics, medical, ortho, podiatry, and general surgery patients, and includes a low-level ICU. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services.
