As an Engineer at GMC, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliable operation of our equipment, systems, and facilities. Your work will directly support patient care by keeping our environment safe, functional, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance on industrial and auxiliary equipment and systems.
- Maintain and service steam boilers, hydronic boilers/heating systems, and hot water heating boilers.
- Maintain HVAC systems and related mechanical components.
- Oversee maintenance of emergency generators and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment and system issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records for all equipment and systems.
- Report potentially dangerous equipment or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial/auxiliary equipment, systems, and maintenance practices.
- Excellent mechanical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to follow them consistently.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or vocational school training preferred, especially with industrial boilers.
- Valid state Boiler Operator 3rd Class license required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. safely.
- Ability to work on ladders.
- Adequate vision, hearing, and communication skills to perform all duties.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying temperature conditions.
- Ability to perform frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting.
