Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Glendale, WI is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency department.
PositionEmergency Veterinary Technician with our ER/ICU Department.

Swing with rotating weekends covering multiple locations.
$22.00 – $35.00 per hour. This pay band depends on local veterinary licensing, experience, and advancement through our competency assessment tool.
Shift Differentials- Weekday Night (Mon‑Fri 6 p to 8 a): $3.50
- Weekend Day (Sat‑Sun 8 a to 6 p): $3.50
- Weekend Night (Sat‑Sun 6 p to 8 a): $5.00
- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
- Triage emergency cases as they arrive, obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
- Perform digital radiography using proper technique and positioning.
- Assist with or perform CT, endoscopy, and ultrasonography.
- Understand normal patient vital sign ranges—including heart/respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, oxygen saturation.
- Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting veterinarians to changes.
- Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
- Calculate medical math (including constant‑rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
- Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
- Demonstrate a passion for learning, mentoring, and training others.
- Show patience and empathy to address client concerns.
- Remain current on R.E.C.O.V.E.R (basic and advanced) CPR guidelines; ALS and BLS certification provided at no cost.
- Mentor and train fellow team members and engage clients with empathy and professionalism.
