Job Overview
Title: Electro-Optical Technician II
Location: Glendale AZ
Duration: 12 Months
Type: Contract
- Execute RF coaxial connector qualification testing per customer and MIL specifications
- Develop and perform electrical, mechanical and environmental test plans for production and R&D
- Conduct prototype testing, product characterization and competitive analysis
- Collect, analyze and maintain organized test data and documentation
- Produce formal qualification and test reports for internal and customer use
- Support quality investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action activities
- 2‑3 years experience as an RF Test Technician
- Hands‑on experience with VNA Spectrum Analyzer RF signal and power sources
- Knowledge of RF coaxial transmission connector impedance and time‑gating techniques
- Experience creating and executing mechanical, electrical and environmental test plans
- Ability to read and comply with customer Source Control Drawings (SCDs)
- Experience building electrical test beds using signal generators, amplifiers and oscilloscopes
- Knowledge of calibration de‑embedding and time‑domain analysis (40 MHz‑100 GHz)
- Understanding of metrology and electrical principles (current, voltage, resistance, 4‑wire resistance)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude with tools, fixtures, gauges and test equipment
- Competitive product analysis experience
- Knowledge of RF end‑user market technologies and applications
- Experience with test automation tools (LabVIEW, Bench View)
- Experience with hybrid RF/Optical products
- Ability to train or mentor others
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent military training
- Minimum 3 years of RF test technician experience
- Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, quality and customer teams
