Pay:
$16.50/hr base + Guaranteed Total $22–28/hr (DOE & Performance)
100% BOH tip pool — all tips go to the kitchen. We are a high-volume, critically acclaimed kabob shop in Glendale, operating in a tiny 299 sq ft kitchen that is extremely hot, fast, and high-pressure. We move with precision. No ego, no chaos — just execution. We are hiring serious, disciplined Line/Prep Cooks who want long-term stability and can thrive in an intense environment.

POSITION: KABOB LINE/PREP COOK
(3 positions available) Pay Structure

Pay Structure
  • Base wage: $16.50/hr
  • Guaranteed total pay: $22–28/hr depending on tier
  • Higher tiers ($26–28/hr) are available for cooks who can operate the line with enough consistency and independence to allow the chef to focus on oversight rather than being on the grill.
  • BOH-only tip pool (no FOH — all tips stay in the kitchen)
Schedule
  • Thursday–Sunday only (we are closed Mon–Wed)
  • Start: 9:30am
    • Close: ~6:00pm
  • These are our highest-volume service days and require consistent, focused execution
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Fast, clean, precise cooks
  • Minimum 1–2 years line experience (kabob/grill experience a plus)
  • Ability to handle intense heat and a tight kitchen
  • Works independently without constant direction
  • Low ego, high discipline
  • Keeps station spotless, organized, and prepped
  • Able to manage heavy flow and maintain calm under pressure
  • Someone who reduces pressure on the chef (chef oversees; you execute)
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute kabob/grill line with speed and accuracy
  • Prep proteins, vegetables, sauces, and marinades
  • Maintain perfect station cleanliness
  • Time dishes with precision and handle volume without crashing
  • Support the team through prep and cleaning tasks

    Move efficiently in a tight, high-heat environment
