Step into a pivotal role as a Registered Nurse in the PCU specialty in Glendale, California, where your expertise guides patients through vulnerable moments and positions you at the forefront of compassionate, high‑acuity care. This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to leave a lasting impact on families and communities, while advancing your professional skills in a dynamic healthcare landscape.

Beyond the unit, California invites you to explore iconic places―from sun‑kissed beaches along the Pacific to the snow‑dusted Sierra, from the wine country of Napa Valley to the hills of Hollywood―creating a backdrop that nourishes both career and well‑being. Based in Glendale, you’ll enjoy convenient access to a thriving medical hub, cultural diversity, and an array of outdoor adventures, dining, and entertainment.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities in PCU include comprehensive patient assessment, continuous telemetry monitoring, administration and management of medications, IV therapies, wound care, and skilled nursing interventions tailored to patients transitioning from acute to step‑down care. You’ll collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans, anticipate complications, and deliver evidence‑based interventions. You’ll guide families through discharge planning, coordinate with pharmacy and therapy services, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

The role is designed to support your growth, providing specialty training, mentorship, and opportunities to expand into leadership roles or specialty certifications.

Benefits & Compensation

Competitive compensation is paired with benefits such as a sign‑on bonus, housing assistance, and the potential for contract extensions as your clinical strengths broaden. You’ll be supported by a dedicated team offering 24/7 assistance while you travel, with onboarding support, online resources, and a patient‑first philosophy that underpins every shift. Start date is 01/26/2026; duration is defined in weeks; weekly pay ranges from $1,869 to $1,990, reflecting your experience and the unit’s needs.

Hours guaranteed are listed as 0.0, reflecting the scheduling model of travel assignments, but you can expect a meaningful workflow and impact across assignments.
