Position Summary
The Building Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and monitoring of building systems and critical equipment. This role supports safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations while responding to maintenance needs during assigned swing shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain critical building equipment and systems
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical issues
- Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely manner
- Document maintenance activities using work order and CMMS systems
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and facility standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant building or facilities maintenance experience - Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
- HVAC certification preferred
- EPA 608 Certification required
- HVAC systems maintenance and troubleshooting
- Plumbing repair and maintenance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience using work order systems
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
