Overview
A reputable, fast-growing law firm practicing employment law is seeking to fill a full-time Associate Attorney. We are looking for confident, energetic, and sharp attorneys who are quick-on-their-feet thinkers, and aggressive creative litigators for adversarial, fast-paced litigation.
Area of PracticeArea of Practice: Exclusively labor and employment matters, on behalf of employees in California, with focus on wage and hour class/PAGA actions and single-plaintiff employment lawsuits.
TitleTitle: Associate Attorney (Class/PAGA Settlement Approval)
LocationLocation: Glendale, CA (on-site preferred; may consider hybrid or remote)
HoursHours: Full-Time. We do not require any minimum billable hours.
SalarySalary: $110,000-$150,000+ (Commensurate with Experience)
License RequirementsLicense Requirements: Active California State Bar license required, with no disciplinary history.
ExperienceExperience: At least 1 year of experience handling Class/PAGA action settlement approval briefing and argument strongly preferred. Experience in plaintiff or defense side employment law, wage & hour, and Class/PAGA actions is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities- Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings, including but not limited to motions for preliminary and final approval of class/PAGA action settlements
- Attend hearings and argue motions in court/arbitration
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Assist in client meetings
- Manage caseloads and ensure deadlines are met
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards
