Manager, Digital Marketing (Vertical & Short-Form Content)

Client: Disney Entertainment
Location: Glendale, CA (Onsite Mon–Thurs, Remote Fridays)
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Extension Possible)
Pay Rate: $50–$56/hour
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Classification: Non-Exempt (Eligible for Overtime)

About the Role

Disney Entertainment is seeking a Manager, Digital Marketing to support the Digital Center of Excellence (COE), the cross-functional team responsible for creative strategy, content planning, execution, and digital creator campaign management across Disney's studio portfolio.

This role will focus on driving the vertical video and short-form content experience for Disney+ on mobile, acting as a key liaison between the Disney+ Product team and Digital Influencer Marketing teams across all studio brands.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in creator partnerships, licensing, digital business development, and process-driven content operations within the digital media space.

Key Responsibilities Cross-Studio Collaboration & Content Sourcing
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Disney+ Product, Influencer Marketing, Legal & Clearances, and Studio Marketing teams.
  • Align on content needs, execution strategy, and asset delivery for vertical and short-form initiatives.
Partnerships & Licensing
  • Source and manage digital creator content and licensee assets for on-platform use.
  • Support negotiation and coordination of creator and licensing agreements.
  • Work closely with legal and clearance teams to ensure compliant content usage.
Campaign & Asset Management
  • Lead planning and execution of vertical and short-form content from intake through final delivery.
  • Ensure assets support audience engagement, retention, and brand strategy.
  • Manage asset lifecycle using tracking tools (e.g., Airtable).
Product Partnership
  • Collaborate with Disney+ Product and Technology teams to ensure content meets technical specifications.
  • Optimize content for user experience and discoverability within the Disney+ mobile app.
Workflow & Process Optimization
  • Build and refine scalable workflows for intake, prioritization, tracking, and delivery.
  • Manage content calendars and cross-functional communication.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and asset volume scaling.
Industry & Trend Leadership
  • Stay current on vertical video trends, emerging platforms, and digital best practices.
  • Apply insights to improve content strategy and execution.
Brand Stewardship
  • Ensure all content adheres to Disney's standards for quality, innovation, and brand safety.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing, creator partnerships, business development, or digital content management within media or entertainment.
  • Prior experience at one or more of the following companies strongly preferred:
    Spotter, Jellysmack, Jukin, Broadband

    TV (BBTV), Full screen, Bent Pixels, Studio

  • Experience negotiating or supporting creator licensing and digital content partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the creator economy, You Tube ecosystem, and short-form/vertical content strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly process-oriented with experience using project management or tracking tools (e.g., Airtable, PowerPoint, Keynote).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Operations, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with product, technology, or UX/UI teams.
  • Familiarity with digital asset management systems and content clearance workflows.
  • Ability to analyze engagement data and recommend optimizations.
  • Knowledge of Disney studio brands and franchise ecosystems.
Work Environment
  • Onsite Monday–Thursday at Disney's Glendale location
  • Remote Fridays
  • Standard studio hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
  • Overtime eligible during high-volume campaign periods
