About the role
We’re looking for an Email Developer, Nurture to build and maintain high-performing lifecycle email programs across our brand portfolio. Reporting to the Product Manager, Lifecycle & CRM, this role is ideal for a technically strong email developer who can translate lifecycle strategy and creative direction into scalable, reliable, and well-instrumented email experiences.
You’ll be responsible for coding, testing, and deploying automated lifecycle flows and campaigns, working closely with Lifecycle Strategy, Creative, QA, and Website Engineering to ensure technical excellence, data integrity, and performance enablement.
This role blends hands-on development, marketing technology fluency, and cross-functional collaboration, with clear accountability for the technical execution of nurture and automation programs.
What you ll do- Build and deploy automated lifecycle flows and triggered email programs across email (and support SMS where applicable)
- Translate lifecycle strategy and creative designs into responsive, modular, and scalable email templates
- Develop dynamic content blocks, personalization logic, & segmentation rules within the ESP
- Partner with the Product Manager, Lifecycle & CRM to implement new behavioral triggers and automation enhancements
- Collaborate with Website Engineering to validate event tracking and data integrations powering lifecycle programs
- Ensure proper implementation of tracking parameters and performance instrumentation
- Conduct thorough pre-deployment testing across devices, inboxes, and rendering environments
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to rendering, logic errors, data discrepancies, or deliverability
- Maintain and improve modular template systems to increase development velocity and consistency
- Document workflows, trigger logic, and system updates to support scalability and cross-team visibility
- Support experimentation initiatives, including A/B test setup and technical configuration
- 3–6 years of experience in email development, marketing automation, or CRM technical execution
- Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS for responsive email development
- Experience working within major ESP or marketing automation platforms
- Understanding of dynamic content, personalization logic, and segmentation frameworks
- Experience implementing behavioral triggers and event-based automation
- Familiarity with QA processes, inbox rendering tools, and deliverability best practices
- Comfort collaborating with product partners, Engineers, Lifecycle Strategists, & Creatives
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment
- A proactive, solutions-oriented team member who takes ownership of technical execution
- Build the technical foundation that powers scalable lifecycle marketing
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Lifecycle leaders in a collaborative environment
- Contribute to a growing automation and experimentation engine across brands
- Grow within a clearly defined lifecycle and product organization with opportunities to expand technical ownership
- Play a key role in driving engagement, conversion, and retention through technical excellence
The pay range for this role is:
90, USD per year (Glendale)
