Job Description & How to Apply Below

Home Organizers is a renowned holding company encompassing over 14 home and lifestyle brands. Known for comprehensive solutions from whole home organizing to sophisticated water distribution technology, we have established a strong presence for more than 30 years. With over 9,000 system-wide employees across multiple subsidiaries, our company combines personalized service with thoughtful, high-quality design to enhance how people live and interact with their spaces.

We are looking for a mid-level UX/UI Designer who is a thoughtful problem-solver, strong communicator, and collaborative partner. This role is ideal for a designer who wants to grow into a core contributor. Someone who can independently own well‑scoped work today and evolve into a trusted design partner over time.

You will work closely with senior designers and the UX Director to design high-quality, user-centered experiences that balance usability, business goals, and brand excellence. We value designers who can clearly articulate their thinking, welcome feedback, and take ownership without ego.

Job Summary:

The UX/UI Designer will be responsible for designing and executing user-centered experiences across web and digital platforms. This role partners closely with senior designers, product managers, developers, and marketing teams to deliver intuitive, high-quality solutions that support both user needs and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own UX and UI design for well-defined initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Translate requirements and constraints into thoughtful user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished, development-ready UI.
  • Clearly articulate design decisions, rationale, and tradeoffs to designers, product partners, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with senior designers on complex or ambiguous problems.
  • Actively participate in critiques as both a contributor and a learner.
  • Apply and help evolve established design systems while maintaining strong craft, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Proactively communicate progress, risks, and open questions throughout the design process.
  • Balance speed, quality, and impact while managing multiple priorities.
  • Stay up to date with UX/UI trends, tools, and best practices.

How You’ll Work:

  • Independently execute on scoped problems while knowing when to seek input and alignment.
  • Engage in open, respectful dialogue and constructive disagreement.
  • Use feedback as a tool for iteration and growth.
  • Balance speed, quality, and impact in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience designing UX/UI for web or digital products, with a strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful problem-solving and shipped work.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including creating scalable components, using auto layout, building interactive prototypes, and working within shared libraries.
  • Solid UX fundamentals including user flows, hierarchy, accessibility, interaction patterns, and strong UI craft.
  • Ability to work independently without requiring constant direction or oversight.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain design rationale, ask thoughtful questions, and adapt messaging for different audiences.
  • Comfort receiving feedback and iterating quickly without defensiveness.
  • Professional maturity, reliability, and respect for collaboration within a senior-led team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working within or contributing to a design system.
  • Prior collaboration with engineers and product partners.
  • Exposure to research, usability testing, or data-informed design decisions.
  • Comfort presenting work to stakeholders outside of design.
  • Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS concepts and SEO principles.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Design decisions are clearly understood and trusted by partners.
  • Work consistently reflects both strong thinking and strong craft.
  • Over time, requires less direction while taking on greater ownership.
  • Builds credibility through follow-through, clarity, and collaboration.
  • Grows into a core contributor helping shape product quality and design direction.
