Position: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)

Certified Dietary Manager – Full-Time (Salaried)
Location: Golden Haven Care Center, Glendale | Facility Size: 99 beds
Compensation: $29–$35 per hour, depending on experience

Golden Haven Care Center is seeking a full-time Certified Dietary Manager to lead and oversee the dietary department in our skilled nursing facility. This role ensures high-quality food service operations, regulatory compliance, and excellent support for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the food service program in accordance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
  • Provide leadership to ensure food quality, inventory control, food safety, and strong customer service.
  • Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment; provide reports to the Administrator.
  • Ensure adequate supply levels and conduct periodic inventories.
  • Train new employees, monitor performance, and recommend disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Serve as the liaison between residents, staff, administrators, and management.
  • Communicate directives from administrators and management to dietary staff.
  • Perform duties of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher when needed for training or coverage.
  • Conduct ongoing training, quality control checks, and in-servicing using QCIs for documentation.
  • Serve as a department head and maintain a professional environment.
  • Attend meetings and complete dietary assessments for residents.
  • Hire, schedule, evaluate, and discipline dietary staff.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Food Service Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • Specialized training in food service management and nutrition preferred.
  • Current Serv Safe certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) required.
  • At least one year of experience as a Dietary Director in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried
Pay Rate: $29–$35 per hour, based on years of experience
