Psychologist (Glendale Adult Outpatient)
This hybrid position includes two days onsite and three days remote, with a 9/80 flex schedule. Pay range $96,477 - $110,949 annually.
$7,000 sign‑on bonus for external candidates.

Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services is a nonprofit providing care to about 270,000 people annually across crisis, substance use, and suicide prevention services.
Lead Psychologist conducts comprehensive assessments for adults with mental illness, supervising assessments and performing direct therapy, crisis intervention, intake, and consultation.
Primary Duties- Supervise psychology interns, practicum students, and staff on psychological testing and therapy.
- Assist in APA internship program through interviews and application reviews.
- Provide professional consultation to multidisciplinary staff on complex diagnostic conditions, test results, and outcome measures.
- Train clinical staff on symptom assessment instruments and mental status examinations.
- Apply at least two evidence‑based practices in therapy with seriously mentally ill clients.
- Collaborate with referring clinicians on referral process and rationale for assessment.
- Consult staff regarding assessments completed by outside institutions.
- Administer and interpret psychological tests, interviews, intelligence, cognitive and neuropsychological functions.
- Focus assessments on referral questions, using appropriate instruments.
- Score and interpret tests with validity and reliability for the client’s population.
- Identify interpretive strengths and limitations considering client factors.
- Prepare written assessment reports tailored to the client’s attributes and concrete recommendations.
- Provide feedback on referral questions to clinicians and clients/family.
- Recommend assessment instruments and maintain security of manuals and protocols.
- Document client services, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
- Participate in on‑duty therapist coverage and 24‑hour on‑call coverage.
- Maintain professional assessment skills through training and education.
- Attend program, agency, and community meetings as required.
- Must be a California licensed psychologist; 2+ years post‑licensure preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience in psychological assessment: test selection, administration, interpretation, report‑writing.
- Working knowledge of psychiatric syndromes, personality disorders, cognitive dysfunction, malingering.
- 2+ years experience working with adults with mental illness in social service/mental health environment.
- Willing to travel between agency sites to provide services in outpatient, home‑based, and field‑based settings.
- Preferred experience as a clinical supervisor.
- Must possess knowledge of research and statistics.
- Knowledge of agency policies, HIPAA, DMH, and other regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills:
Word processing, electronic health record, spreadsheets, other software. - Ability to use analysis, experience, and judgment to make effective decisions.

- Adaptability by acquiring new skills and knowledge.
- Current California driver’s license and driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier.
- Some evening work may be required.
- Must know and comply with agency policies, HIPAA, Department of Mental Health, and regulations related to service programs for children with history of mental illness.
