Sales Tax Manager

About the role

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Sales Tax Manager to join our team. This individual will manage Brio’s multi-state sales and use tax compliance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of filings while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.

• Oversee preparation, review, and filing of monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Maintain and reconcile sales tax liability accounts and related documentation.
• Research and resolve tax discrepancies, exemption certificate issues, and nexus inquiries.
• Coordinate and manage communication with external auditors and tax authorities.
• Support process improvements and system integrations for automated tax calculation and reporting.
• Advise internal teams on sales and use tax implications for new products, channels, and states.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience managing multi-state sales and use tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. tax regulations, nexus rules, and exemption management.
• Proficiency in tax automation software (Avalara, Vertex, or similar) and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and documentation practices.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

The pay range for this role is:

115, USD per year (Glendale, California)
