The Department of Medicine of the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is seeking a distinguished physician leader to serve as Chief of the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension with an academic appointment as Associate or Professor of Medicine.
OverviewApplicants should have an established record of administrative and educational leadership experience along with clinical expertise and scholarly accomplishments in general nephrology and/or transplant nephrology practice.
Applicants will be expected to conduct scholarly work as well as facilitate interdisciplinary research across the Department, School, and University. The ideal candidate will be a highly collaborative and strategic leader with a national and international reputation of excellence, a record of exemplary professionalism, mentorship, and a demonstrated understanding of the academic medicine mission.
Responsibilities- Serve as Chief of the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension.
- Lead clinical, educational, and research activities within the division.
- Conduct and oversee interdisciplinary research collaborations across the Department, School, and University.
- Collaborate closely with the Division Chair and university leadership in strategic planning.
- California medical license.
- Associate or Professor level academic appointment with significant scholarly, clinical, and leadership accomplishments.
- Expertise in general nephrology and/or transplant nephrology practice.
- Strong record of scholarly work and interdisciplinary research.
- National and international reputation of excellence with recognition for expertise in the field.
- Exceptional professionalism, mentorship, and collaborative leadership skills.
Competitive compensation with an annual base salary range of $400,000-$500,000. USC offers a generous benefit package and reasonable call responsibilities.
