Overview
LAW 890 Directed Research (1 unit) — USC Gould School of Law is looking for an adjunct lecturer to teach one unit of directed research to coach students participating in an intellectual property moot court competition.
Candidates must have a JD and experience with moot court competitions. Candidates must also be local as class meetings will be held on campus.
Responsibilities- Teach one unit of directed research and coach students participating in an intellectual property moot court competition.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Experience with moot court competitions.
- Must be local to the area for on-campus class meetings.
Adjunct Lecturers are required to complete specific training requirements as a condition of employment. Mandatory trainings include:
- USC"s Harassment Prevention Training at the time of hire and every two years thereafter.
- USC"s Integrity and Accountability Code Training at the time of hire.
- Information Security training annually.
- Workplace Violence Prevention Plan training annually.
- Other trainings may be required based on specific job responsibilities.

CompensationThe base salary range for this position is $2,433.66 - $9,984.65 per semester. When extending an offer of employment, USC considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, units per course, candidate experience, education/training, skills, internal equity, applicable laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, and external market considerations.
