The Division of Cardiac Surgery of the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is recruiting at the Assistant / Associate Professor of Surgery level for a BC/BE American Board of Thoracic surgeon with skills and interest in adult cardiac surgery. Qualified candidates will be involved in the care of patients predominately at an affiliate site, participate in resident conferences, and collaborate in research and continuing education.
Must possess strong fundamental cardiac surgery skills and have a strong interest in program building and leadership. The ideal candidate will have been in practice for at least two years and have a track record of excellence in patient care.
The annual base salary range for this position is $550,000-$700,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
