The USC Department of Orthopaedic Surgery seeks to hire a Clinical Instructor (Fellow) to join the Spine Medicine Fellowship. Applications are reviewed each year between April and July with a projected start date in August. The salary range for this position is $50,000 – $85,000. Responsibilities- Work alongside physiatrists to gain expertise in multidisciplinary spine management.
- Prescribe physical therapy modalities, orthotics, and pain medications, including adjuvant medications and opiates.
- Receive substantial training in interventional spine procedures such as epidural injections, facet injections, and radio frequency ablation.
- Train in minor surgical procedures, including spinal cord stimulator trials and implants.
- Focus on electrodiagnostic medicine to evaluate patients with spine pain and differentiate disease entities that mimic symptoms of spinal radiculopathy.
- Participate in research opportunities as available.
